Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

What I’m about to tell you is true. You will weep and mourn while the world is full of joy. You will be sad, but your sadness will turn into joy.

She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, ye have been put to grief in manifold trials,that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ:whom not having seen ye love; on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented him.

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come out of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.Therefore are they before the throne of God; and they serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them.They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun strike upon them, nor any heat:for the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life- time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy cometh in the morning.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

I waited patiently for Jehovah; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in Jehovah.

But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yea and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things came to pass.

For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

Now unto him that is able to guard you from stumbling, and to set you before the presence of his glory without blemish in exceeding joy,

and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

And he went out, and wept bitterly.

They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name.

He hath swallowed up death for ever; and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth: for Jehovah hath spoken it.And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is Jehovah; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the godless but for a moment?

And he said unto them, What communications are these that ye have one with another, as ye walk? And they stood still, looking sad.

And when he rose up from his prayer, he came unto the disciples, and found them sleeping for sorrow,

And straightway the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word, how that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

How much soever she glorified herself, and waxed wanton, so much give her of torment and mourning: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall in no wise see mourning.

Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were saved.

And they that dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make merry; and they shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.

Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is they that shall be put to shame.

through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness;

And in that day thou shalt say, I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; for though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away and thou comfortest me.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.

Now on the morrow, which is the day after the Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together unto Pilate,saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said while he was yet alive, After three days I rise again.Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest haply his disciples come and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: and the last error will be worse than the first.Pilate said unto them, Ye have a guard: go, make it as sure as ye can.So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, the guard being with them.

And when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.And all the multitudes that came together to this sight, when they beheld the things that were done, returned smiting their breasts.And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed with him from Galilee, stood afar off, seeing these things.

They shall come with weeping; and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first- born.Hear the word of Jehovah, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.For Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow unto the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith Jehovah.

And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit;

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ha! thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,save thyself, and come down from the cross.In like manner also the chief priests mocking him among themselves with the scribes said, He saved others; himself he cannot save.Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reproached him.

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads,and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross.In like manner also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,He saved others; himself he cannot save. He is the King of Israel; let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him.He trusteth on God; let him deliver him now, if he desireth him: for he said, I am the Son of God.And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach.

These things therefore the soldiers did. But there were standing by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold, thy son!Then saith he to the disciple, Behold, thy mother! And from that hour the disciple took her unto his own home.

And when he had said this, he showed unto them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.

But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.
