“ A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.”

頃之、爾不見我、又頃之、爾復見我、

頃之而爾不見我、復頃之而爾見我、以我歸父也、

未幾爾不見我、又未幾爾復見我、因我歸於父也、

『瞬息之間、而爾不得睹予矣！復一瞬息、而爾又得見予矣！』

Jesus went on to say,“ In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”

Jesus continued,“ In a little while, you will no longer see me. Then after a little while, you will see me.”

“ In a little while you won’t see me anymore. But a little while after that, you will see me again.”

“ In a little while, you will no longer see me; again in a little while, you will see me.”

“ A little while, and you no longer are going to see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me.”

“ A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father.”

A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.

“ A little while and you will no longer see Me; again a little while and you will see Me.”

A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

In a little while you will see me no longer; again after a little while, you will see me.”

A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”

Jesus then said,“ I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.

I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear,not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

So Jesus said to them,“ The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you,‘ Where I am going you cannot come.’

“ I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”Judas( not Iscariot) said to him,“ Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?”Jesus answered him,“ If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.

looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

So some of his disciples said to one another,“ What is this that he says to us,‘ A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and,‘ because I am going to the Father’?”So they were saying,“ What does he mean by‘ a little while’? We do not know what he is talking about.”Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them,“ Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying,‘ A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’?

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.So the other disciples told him,“ We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them,“ Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you.”Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”Thomas answered him,“ My Lord and my God!”Jesus said to him,“ Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way.Simon Peter, Thomas( called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.Simon Peter said to them,“ I am going fishing.” They said to him,“ We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.Jesus said to them,“ Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him,“ No.”He said to them,“ Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread.Jesus said to them,“ Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.”So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn.Jesus said to them,“ Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him,“ Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish.This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Feed my lambs.”He said to him a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Tend my sheep.”He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time,“ Do you love me?” and he said to him,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.”( This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him,“ Follow me.”Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said,“ Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?”When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus,“ Lord, what about this man?”Jesus said to him,“ If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!”So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but,“ If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me,‘ Where are you going?’

And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer;

Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God,
