“ In a little while, you will no longer see me; again in a little while, you will see me.”

「過一會兒，你們就不再看到我了；再過一會兒，你們又將見到我。」

頃之、爾不見我、又頃之、爾復見我、

頃之而爾不見我、復頃之而爾見我、以我歸父也、

未幾爾不見我、又未幾爾復見我、因我歸於父也、

『瞬息之間、而爾不得睹予矣！復一瞬息、而爾又得見予矣！』

Jesus went on to say,“ In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”

Jesus continued,“ In a little while, you will no longer see me. Then after a little while, you will see me.”

“ A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.”

“ In a little while you won’t see me anymore. But a little while after that, you will see me again.”

“ A little while, and you no longer are going to see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me.”

“ A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father.”

A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.

“ A little while and you will no longer see Me; again a little while and you will see Me.”

A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

In a little while you will see me no longer; again after a little while, you will see me.”

A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”

Then Jesus said,“ I am only with you for a short time. Then I’m going to the one who sent me.

I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

So you also have sorrow now. But I will see you again. Your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy from you.

God raised up this man on the third day and caused him to be seen,not by all the people, but by us whom God appointed as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

After he had suffered, he also presented himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered,“ The light will be with you only a little longer. Walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.

So the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so now I tell you,‘ Where I am going, you cannot come.’

“ I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you will live too.On that day you will know that I am in my Father, you are in me, and I am in you.The one who has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father. I also will love him and will reveal myself to him.”Judas( not Iscariot) said to him,“ Lord, how is it you’re going to reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus answered,“ If anyone loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.The one who doesn’t love me will not keep my words. The word that you hear is not mine but is from the Father who sent me.

keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Then some of his disciples said to one another,“ What is this he’s telling us:‘ In a little while, you will not see me; again in a little while, you will see me,’ and,‘ Because I am going to the Father’?”They said,“ What is this he is saying,‘ In a little while’? We don’t know what he’s talking about.”Jesus knew they wanted to ask him, and so he said to them,“ Are you asking one another about what I said,‘ In a little while, you will not see me; again in a little while, you will see me’?

When it was evening on that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because they feared the Jews. Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”Having said this, he showed them his hands and his side. So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.”After saying this, he breathed on them and said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”But Thomas( called“ Twin”), one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.So the other disciples were telling him,“ We’ve seen the Lord!” But he said to them,“ If I don’t see the mark of the nails in his hands, put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will never believe.”A week later his disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you.”Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here and look at my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Don’t be faithless, but believe.”Thomas responded to him,“ My Lord and my God!”Jesus said,“ Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”

After this, Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself in this way:Simon Peter, Thomas( called“ Twin”), Nathanael from Cana of Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples were together.“ I’m going fishing,” Simon Peter said to them.“ We’re coming with you,” they told him. They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not know it was Jesus.“ Friends,” Jesus called to them,“ you don’t have any fish, do you?”“ No,” they answered.“ Cast the net on the right side of the boat,” he told them,“ and you’ll find some.” So they did, and they were unable to haul it in because of the large number of fish.The disciple, the one Jesus loved, said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tied his outer clothing around him( for he had taken it off) and plunged into the sea.Since they were not far from land( about a hundred yards away), the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish.When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread.“ Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,” Jesus told them.So Simon Peter climbed up and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish— 153 of them. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn.“ Come and have breakfast,” Jesus told them. None of the disciples dared ask him,“ Who are you?” because they knew it was the Lord.Jesus came, took the bread, and gave it to them. He did the same with the fish.This was now the third time Jesus appeared to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to him,“ you know that I love you.”“ Feed my lambs,” he told him.A second time he asked him,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to him,“ you know that I love you.”“ Shepherd my sheep,” he told him.He asked him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time,“ Do you love me?” He said,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”“ Feed my sheep,” Jesus said.“ Truly I tell you, when you were younger, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”He said this to indicate by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. After saying this, he told him,“ Follow me.”So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them, the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked,“ Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray you?”When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus,“ Lord, what about him?”“ If I want him to remain until I come,” Jesus answered,“ what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”So this rumor spread to the brothers and sisters that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die, but,“ If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”

Now I am coming to you, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy completed in them.

But now I am going away to him who sent me, and not one of you asks me,‘ Where are you going?’

Now, Father, glorify me in your presence with that glory I had with you before the world existed.

and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve.Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time; most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep.Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.Last of all, as to one born at the wrong time, he also appeared to me.For I am the least of the apostles, not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

about righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me;

Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into his hands, that he had come from God, and that he was going back to God.
