But I have told you these things so that when their time comes you will remember I told them to you. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.

so that you may approve the things that are superior and may be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,

Then Jesus said to them,“ Tonight all of you will fall away because of me, for it is written: I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”Peter told him,“ Even if everyone falls away because of you, I will never fall away.”

And they were offended by him. Jesus said to them,“ A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his household.”

“ I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.
