凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。

就如一塊田地吸收過屢次下的雨水，生長蔬菜，合乎耕種的人用，就從神得福。這塊田地若長荊棘和蒺藜，必被廢棄，近於詛咒，結局就是焚燒。

凡屬我不結果子的枝子，他就剪掉；凡結果子的，他就修剪乾淨，使枝子結果子更多。

但在烈怒中它被拔出，摔在地上；東風吹乾其果子，那堅固的枝幹因折斷而枯乾，被火燒燬；如今這葡萄樹移植於曠野，在乾旱無水之地，火從枝幹中發出，燒滅它的枝條和它的果子，以致不再有堅固的枝幹，可作統治者的權杖。這是哀傷之歌，成為一首哀歌。

人子要差遣他的使者，把一切使人跌倒的和作惡的從他國裏挑出來，

倘若他們因認識我們的主和救主耶穌基督而得以脫離世上的污穢，後來又被污穢纏住，被制伏，他們末後的景況就比先前更不好了。

現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。

可以從其中取木料來做工嗎？人可以拿來做釘子，掛東西在上面嗎？看哪，它已經拋在火中當柴燒，火既燒了兩頭，中間也燒焦了，它還有甚麼用處呢？看哪，它完整的時候尚且不能拿來做工，何況被火燒焦了，還能拿來做工嗎？所以，主耶和華如此說：我怎樣使林中樹裏的葡萄樹在火中當柴燒，我也必照樣對待耶路撒冷的居民。我必向他們變臉；他們雖從火中逃出來，火仍要燒滅他們。我向他們變臉的時候，你們就知道我是耶和華。

凡名字沒有記在生命冊上的人，就被扔進火湖裏。

他們從我們中間出去，卻不是屬我們的，若是屬我們的，就必仍舊與我們同在。他們出去，這就顯明他們都不是屬我們的。

你要說，主耶和華如此說：這棵葡萄樹豈能發旺呢？鷹豈不拔出它的根來，摘光它的果子，使它枯乾，連長出的嫩葉都枯萎了嗎？要把它連根拔除，並不需要費大力或動用許多人。

這樣的人是你們愛筵上的污點；他們無所懼怕地同你們宴樂，彷彿牧人只顧餵飽自己。他們是無雨的浮雲，被風飄蕩；是秋天沒有果子的樹，死而又死，連根被拔出來；是海裏的狂浪，湧出自己可恥的沫子來；是流蕩的星，有漆黑的幽暗永遠為他們保留着。

惟有戰戰兢兢等候審判和那將吞滅眾敵人的烈火了。

保護你右手所栽的根，你為自己所堅固的幼苗。

惟獨你被拋棄在你的墳墓之外，有如被厭惡的枝子，被許多用刀刺透殺死的人覆蓋着，一同墜落地府的石頭那裏，像被踐踏的屍首。

猶大就把那銀錢丟在殿裏，出去吊死了。

因為堅固的城變為荒涼，成了被撇棄的居所，像曠野一樣；牛犢在那裏吃草，在那裏躺臥，吃盡其中的樹枝。

他不得脫離黑暗，火焰要把他的嫩枝燒乾；因神口中的氣，他要離去。

至於膽怯的、不信的、可憎的、殺人的、淫亂的、行邪術的、拜偶像的和一切說謊話的人，他們將在燒着硫磺的火湖裏有份；這是第二次的死。」
