凡不結好果子的樹都被砍下來，丟在火裏。

田地吸收屢次下在地上的雨水，產生着青菜、對地之所為而被耕種的人有了用處，就從上帝享受祝福；但若生出荊棘和蒺藜，就不中用，近於受咒詛；其結局乃是被焚燒。

凡在我身上不結果子的枝子，他就除掉；凡結果子的，他就使它潔淨，叫它結果子更多。

但這葡萄樹因上帝的烈怒而被拔出，摔在地上；東風給吹乾了；其枝條折斷下來；它剛勁的枝榦枯乾了，火給燒燬了。如今被移植於曠野、乾旱焦渴之地。有火從它枝榦中發出，燒燬了其樹枝和枝條，以致樹上沒有剛勁的枝榦可做掌權者之杖了。這乃是哀傷之聲，已成了流行的哀歌。

人子要差遣他的使者，把一切使人絆跌的事、以及行不法事的人、都從他國裏薅出來，

倘若他們既因認識我們的主、救主耶穌基督、而逃脫了世俗的染污，又在其中被纏住被制勝着，那麼他們末後的景況就比先前的更壞了。

現在呢、斧子已經放在樹根上了；凡不結好果子的樹都要被砍下來，丟在火裏。

那上頭有木料可以取來作工具麼？或者人可以從那上頭取橛子來掛甚麼器皿麼？看哪，已拋給火燒燬，火既燒燬了兩頭，中間也給燒焦了，要作工具還有用處麼？看哪，它完整時、尚且不能用作工具，何況火燒燬了它，並且給燒焦了，還能用來作工具麼？故此主永恆主這麼說；正像森林樹木中的葡萄樹；我怎樣將它拋給火燒燬，我也必怎樣將耶路撒冷的居民丟給火燒。我必向他們板着臉；他們雖從火中逃出，火仍必燒燬他們；我盯着他們板着臉時，你們就知道我乃是永恆主。

若有人在生命冊上沒被記名的、就被丟在火湖裏。

他們從我們中間出去，卻又不曾屬於我們；如果曾屬於我們，他們就會繼續同我們在一起了；可是他們出去了，這是要顯明他們不是都屬於我們。

你要說：主永恆主這麼說：這葡萄樹哪能發旺呢？鷹難道不將它的根拔起，將它的枝子芟除，使發生的嫩葉都枯乾掉麼？這也不必用大力和許多人去從根那裏將它拔出呀。

這些人是你們愛席上的污點；在宴會時只顧牧養自己，毫無畏懼！嘿，沒有水份的雲，被風飄蕩着！深秋時沒有果子的樹，死了又死，連根都拔出來！海裏的狂浪，翻騰起自己可恥的沫子來！游蕩的星，有黑暗之幽冥永遠給他們保留着！

只好期待着可怕的審判、與神妒的烈火，就是將要吞滅對敵的。

你右手所栽植的樹榦、和你為自己所培養到壯大的兒子。

惟獨你被拋棄，不得進你的墳墓，好像可厭的屍身，發出被刀刺死者的臭味，墜落到陰坑的根基，如同屍身被踐踏。

猶大把那銀子丟在殿堂裏，就退出來，去吊死了。

因為有堡壘的城冷冷落落，居所被拋下被撇棄，像曠野一樣；牛犢必在那裏喫草，在那裏躺着，喫盡其樹枝。

他不能脫離黑暗；他的幼枝、火焰必燒乾，他必因上帝口中的氣而過去。

惟獨那些膽怯的、沒有信心的、可憎的、殺人的、做男倡或嫖妓的、行邪術的、拜偶像的、和一切說假話的人，他們的分兒是在那有火跟硫磺燒着的湖裏：就是第二次的死。』
