凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。

就如一塊田地，吃過屢次下的雨水，生長菜蔬，合乎耕種的人用，就從神得福；若長荊棘和蒺藜，必被廢棄，近於咒詛，結局就是焚燒。

凡屬我不結果子的枝子，他就剪去；凡結果子的，他就修理乾淨，使枝子結果子更多。

但這葡萄樹因忿怒被拔出摔在地上；東風吹乾其上的果子，堅固的枝幹折斷枯乾，被火燒毀了；如今栽於曠野乾旱無水之地。火也從它枝幹中發出，燒滅果子，以致沒有堅固的枝幹可做掌權者的杖。這是哀歌，也必用以作哀歌。

人子要差遣使者，把一切叫人跌倒的和作惡的，從他國裏挑出來，

倘若他們因認識主－救主耶穌基督，得以脫離世上的污穢，後來又在其中被纏住、制伏，他們末後的景況就比先前更不好了。

現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。

其上可以取木料做甚麼工用，可以取來做釘子掛甚麼器皿嗎？看哪，已經拋在火中當作柴燒，火既燒了兩頭，中間也被燒了，還有益於工用嗎？完全的時候尚且不合乎甚麼工用，何況被火燒壞，還能合乎甚麼工用嗎？」所以，主耶和華如此說：「眾樹以內的葡萄樹，我怎樣使它在火中當柴，也必照樣待耶路撒冷的居民。我必向他們變臉；他們雖從火中出來，火卻要燒滅他們。我向他們變臉的時候，你們就知道我是耶和華。

若有人名字沒記在生命冊上，他就被扔在火湖裏。

他們從我們中間出去，卻不是屬我們的；若是屬我們的，就必仍舊與我們同在；他們出去，顯明都不是屬我們的。

你要說，主耶和華如此說：這葡萄樹豈能發旺呢？鷹豈不拔出它的根來，芟除它的果子，使它枯乾，使它發的嫩葉都枯乾了嗎？也不用大力和多民，就拔出它的根來。

這樣的人在你們的愛席上與你們同吃的時候，正是礁石。他們作牧人，只知餵養自己，無所懼怕；是沒有雨的雲彩，被風飄蕩；是秋天沒有果子的樹，死而又死，連根被拔出來；是海裏的狂浪，湧出自己可恥的沫子來；是流蕩的星，有墨黑的幽暗為他們永遠存留。

惟有戰懼等候審判和那燒滅眾敵人的烈火。

保護你右手所栽的和你為自己所堅固的枝子。

惟獨你被拋棄，不得入你的墳墓，好像可憎的枝子，以被殺的人為衣，就是被刀刺透，墜落坑中石頭那裏的；你又像被踐踏的屍首一樣。

猶大就把那銀錢丟在殿裏，出去吊死了。

因為堅固城變為淒涼，成了撇下離棄的居所，像曠野一樣；牛犢必在那裏吃草，在那裏躺臥，並吃盡其中的樹枝。

他不得出離黑暗。火焰要將他的枝子燒乾；因神口中的氣，他要滅亡。

惟有膽怯的、不信的、可憎的、殺人的、淫亂的、行邪術的、拜偶像的，和一切說謊話的，他們的分就在燒着硫磺的火湖裏；這是第二次的死。」
