Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

爾曹自始所聞者、當恆在爾衷、若然、則爾亦恆在子及父中矣、此其所許我者即永生也、我書此遺爾、乃指惑爾之人、惟爾自主所受之膏、恆在爾衷、則不須人訓爾、彼之膏、即以諸事訓爾、是乃真而無誑、爾曹當依其所訓、恆在彼中矣、小子乎、今宜恆在彼中、迨彼顯著、我儕於其降臨時、可毅然而無愧、

充以義之實、由耶穌基督、致榮與頌歸於上帝、○

我為葡萄樹、爾為枝、恆在我中、我亦在彼中者、則結實孔繁、蓋外乎我、爾無能為也、不恆在我者、猶枝見棄而槁、人拾而投於火焚之、若爾恆在我中、我言恆在爾中、凡爾所欲、求則成之、

設上帝之神居爾衷、則爾不從形軀、而從神矣、不有基督之神者、非其徒也、若基督在爾衷、身則因罪而死、神則因義而生、

是時也、爾將知我在父中、爾在我中、我在爾中、

人子歟、葡萄樹在眾木中、葡萄枝在叢林中、有何長乎、可取其木、以製何器、可取其材、以作釘而懸物乎、惟投於火為薪、焚其兩端、並燬其中、尚有何用乎、其尚全時、猶難適用、況經火焚燬、則於製器、豈非更無所用乎、

沃壤者、猶人聽道、以善良之心守之、恆忍而結實、○

爾既承受主基督耶穌、亦宜由之而行、

我於彼中、爾於我中、使之成全於一、致世知爾遣我、且愛彼如愛我也、

上帝樂以此奧秘之榮之富、示之異邦、即基督在爾衷、為有榮之望焉、

堅門徒心、勸之恆居於道、言我儕入上帝國必歷多艱、

爾宜自審、止於信否、亦宜自驗、豈不自知耶穌基督在爾衷乎、否則爾為見棄者矣、

致基督因信而居爾心、使爾根基於愛、

既至、見上帝之恩、則喜、勸眾堅心恆在於主、

惟在爾恆於信、植基而固之、不移乎爾所聞福音之望、即宣於天下萬人、我保羅為其役者也、○

以法蓮將曰、我與偶像猶有何涉、我耶和華既應之、必加眷顧、我若青松、爾將由我而結實、

西門彼得對曰、主有永生之道、吾誰與歸、我儕已信、且知爾為上帝之聖者、

我為此求主者三、使之去我、主曰、吾恩於爾足矣、我之能於弱者而成全之、故我欣然、寧誇我弱、使基督之能庇我、我為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、空乏、窘逐、阨窮為喜、蓋我弱時則強焉、○

愛友乎、宜於爾至聖之道而自建、於聖神而祈禱、於上帝之愛而自守、企望我主耶穌基督之矜恤、以至永生、

然我儕非屬退縮而致淪亡者、乃屬信而致靈之得救者也、

緣此、我不能復忍、遣人欲知爾信、恐為試者所惑、而我徒勞、

鄉人曰自野倚其所愛而來者、伊何人乎、良人曰在㰋果樹下、我曾寤爾、在彼、爾母劬勞而產爾、

堅城荒落、為見棄之居所、闃寂無人、猶如曠野、牛犢牧於其處、偃臥而齧條肄、枝枯被折、婦至燃之、斯民不慧、造之者不加矜恤、成之者不施恩惠、○
