「我將從父那裡派遣慰助者來，他就是從父而來的真理的靈。他來的時候，將為我做見證。

但我要从父那里差保惠师来，就是从父出来真理的圣灵；他来了，就要为我作见证。

“但我要从父那里差保惠师来，就是从父出来的那真理的灵，他来的时候要为我作见证。

“但我要从父那里差保惠师来，就是从父出来的那真理的灵，他来的时候要为我作见证。

“我要从父那里为你们差护慰者来，祂就是从父而来的真理之灵。祂来了要为我做见证。

“我从父那里要差来给你们的保惠师，就是从父那里出来的真理的灵，他来到的时候，要为我作见证。

「我要從父那裡為你們差護慰者來，祂就是從父而來的真理之靈。祂來了要為我做見證。

“我從父那裡要差來給你們的保惠師，就是從父那裡出來的真理的靈，他來到的時候，要為我作見證。

但那幫助者、我從父那裏所要差來找你們的、真理之靈、從父而出的，那一位來的時候、就要為我作見證了。

但我自父將遣於爾之保惠師、即出於父真理之神、既至、必為我證、

我所遣之保惠師、即真理之神、由父出者、既至、必為我證、

我由父將遣於爾之保慰者、即真理之神、由父而出者、彼既至、必為我作證、

予當自聖父遣發保慰恩師於爾、保慰恩師非他、即真道之神發自聖父者是。彼至必為予作證、

“ When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father— he will testify about me.

“ I will send the Friend to you from the Father. He is the Spirit of truth, who comes out from the Father. When the Friend comes to help you, he will be a witness about me.

“ But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

“ But I will send you the Advocate— the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.

“ When the Counselor comes, the one I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father— he will testify about me.

“ When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me,

“ But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:

“ When the Counselor comes, the One I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father— He will testify about Me.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father,[ even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father– the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father– he will testify about me,

“ When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.

但那位慰助者，就是父以我的名所要派遣的聖靈，將要把一切的事教導你們，並且讓你們想起我對你們說過的一切。

我也要向父祈求，他就將賜給你們另一位慰助者，讓他與你們在一起，直到永遠。他就是真理的靈，是世界不能接受的，因為世界看不到他，也不認識他。而你們認識他，因為他與你們同在，並且要在你們裡面。

我們就是這些事的見證人。神所賜給那些順從他之人的聖靈也一同做見證。」

不過當那位真理的靈來了，他就會引導你們進入一切真理。那時，他不會憑著自己說話，只把所聽到的說出來，並且把那些就要來的事傳講給你們。他將榮耀我，因為他將從我領受，並傳講給你們。父所擁有的一切，都是我的。所以我說，聖靈將從我領受，並傳講給你們。

藉著水和血而來的那一位，就是耶穌基督，不僅藉著水，也藉著水和血；並且聖靈是做見證的那一位，因為聖靈就是真理。原來，做見證的有三者：聖靈、水和血；而這三者是一致的。我們既然接受人的見證，神的見證就更應該接受了，因為這是神的見證，就是神為他的兒子所做的見證。那信神兒子的，就有這見證在他裡面；那不信神的，就把神當做說謊者，因為他不相信神為自己的兒子所做的見證。

正如有關基督的見證在你們中間得以確立，

「這位耶穌，神已經使他復活了。我們都是這事的見證人。他被高舉在神的右邊，從父領受了所應許的聖靈，就將聖靈傾注了下來。這正是你們現在所看見所聽見的。

接著，天使給我看一條生命水的河，明亮如水晶，從神和羔羊的寶座流出來，

於是那洞察人心的神，賜聖靈給他們做了見證，就像為我們做的那樣；

但我把真相告訴你們：我離去對你們是有益處的，因為我如果不去，慰助者就不會到你們這裡來；如果我去了，我就會派遣他到你們這裡來。

看哪！我要將我父所應許的差派到你們那裡。不過你們要留在城裡，直到領受了從上面來的能力。」

神又照著自己的旨意，用神蹟、奇事和各種大能，以及聖靈的各種恩賜，與他們一同見證。

耶穌說：「如果神是你們的父，你們就會愛我，因為我是出於神，並且從神那裡來。要知道，我並不是憑自己而來的，而是那一位差派了我。
