其实，凡立志在基督耶稣里敬虔度日的，也都将受迫害。

我实实在在地告诉你们，仆人不大于主人；奉差的人也不大于差他的人。

“学生不高过老师，仆人不高过主人。

以色列家却不肯听从你，因为他们不肯听从我；原来以色列全家是额头坚硬、心里刚愎的人。

这些犹太人不但杀了主耶稣和先知们，又把我们赶出去。他们令神不悦，且与众人为敌，

遭受迫害，却不被撇弃；击倒在地，却不致灭亡。

并且劳碌，亲手做工；被人咒骂，我们就祝福；被人迫害，我们就忍受；

我们所传的有谁信呢？耶和华的膀臂向谁显露呢？他在耶和华面前生长如嫩芽，像根出于干地。他无佳形美容使我们注视他，也无美貌使我们仰慕他。他被藐视，被人厌弃；多受痛苦，常经忧患。他被藐视，好像被人掩面不看的一样，我们也不尊重他。

犹太人又拿起石头来要打他。

希律和本丢‧彼拉多，同外邦人和以色列民，果然在这城里聚集，要攻打你所膏的圣仆耶稣，做了你手和你旨意所预定必成就的事。主啊，现在求你鉴察，他们的威吓，使你仆人放胆讲你的道，伸出你的手来，让医治、神迹、奇事藉着你圣仆耶稣的名行出来。”

先知中有哪一个不是受你们祖宗的迫害呢？他们把预先宣告那义者要来的人杀了。如今你们成了那义者的出卖者和凶手了。你们领受了天使所传布的律法，竟不遵守。”众人听见这些话，心中极其恼怒，向司提反咬牙切齿。但司提反满有圣灵，定睛望天，看见神的荣耀，又看见耶稣站在神的右边，就说：“我看见天开了，人子站在神的右边。”众人大声喊叫，捂着耳朵，齐心冲向他，把他推到城外，用石头打他。作见证的人把他们的衣裳放在一个名叫扫罗的青年脚前。他们正用石头打司提反的时候，他呼求说：“主耶稣啊，求你接纳我的灵魂！”然后他跪下来，大声喊着：“主啊，不要将这罪归于他们！”说了这话，就长眠了。

所以犹太人迫害耶稣，因为他在安息日做了这些事。

我实实在在地告诉你们，人若遵守我的道，就永远不经历死亡。”

那时，祭司长和法利赛人早已下令，若有人知道耶稣的下落，就要报告，他们好去捉拿他。

于是他们拿石头要打他，耶稣却躲开，走出了圣殿。

西面给他们祝福，又对孩子的母亲马利亚说：“这孩子被立，是要叫以色列中许多人跌倒，许多人兴起；又要成为毁谤的对象，

法利赛人听见群众对耶稣这样议论纷纷，祭司长和法利赛人就打发圣殿警卫去捉拿他。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“你只管听从百姓向你说的一切话，因为他们不是厌弃你，而是厌弃我，不要我作他们的王。

学生不高过老师，凡学成了的会和老师一样。
