We do hard work, toiling with our own hands. When we are verbally abused, we respond with a blessing, when persecuted, we endure,

Who would have believed what we just heard? When was the LORD’s power revealed through him?He sprouted up like a twig before God, like a root out of parched soil; he had no stately form or majesty that might catch our attention, no special appearance that we should want to follow him.He was despised and rejected by people, one who experienced pain and was acquainted with illness; people hid their faces from him; he was despised, and we considered him insignificant.

The Jewish leaders picked up rocks again to stone him to death.

“ For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen.And now, Lord, pay attention to their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your message with great courage,while you extend your hand to heal, and to bring about miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Now because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began persecuting him.

I tell you the solemn truth, if anyone obeys my teaching, he will never see death.”

A disciple is not greater than his teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like his teacher.
