你们要记念我从前对你们所说的话：‘仆人不能大于主人。’他们若逼迫了我，也要逼迫你们；若遵守了我的话，也要遵守你们的话。

Remember what I told you:‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

Remember what I told you. I said,‘ A slave is not more important than his master.’( John 13:16) If people hated me and tried to hurt me, they will do the same to you. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

不但如此，凡立志在基督耶稣里敬虔度日的也都要受逼迫。

我实实在在地告诉你们，仆人不能大于主人，差人也不能大于差他的人。

学生不能高过先生；仆人不能高过主人。

以色列家却不肯听从你，因为他们不肯听从我；原来以色列全家是额坚心硬的人。

这犹太人杀了主耶稣和先知，又把我们赶出去。他们不得神的喜悦，且与众人为敌，

遭逼迫，却不被丢弃；打倒了，却不至死亡。

并且劳苦，亲手做工。被人咒骂，我们就祝福；被人逼迫，我们就忍受；

我们所传的有谁信呢？耶和华的膀臂向谁显露呢？他在耶和华面前生长如嫩芽，像根出于干地。他无佳形美容；我们看见他的时候，也无美貌使我们羡慕他。他被藐视，被人厌弃；多受痛苦，常经忧患。他被藐视，好像被人掩面不看的一样；我们也不尊重他。

犹太人又拿起石头来要打他。

希律和本丢彼拉多，外邦人和以色列民，果然在这城里聚集，要攻打你所膏的圣仆耶稣，成就你手和你意旨所预定必有的事。他们恐吓我们，现在求主鉴察，一面叫你仆人大放胆量讲你的道，一面伸出你的手来医治疾病，并且使神迹奇事因着你圣仆耶稣的名行出来。”

哪一个先知不是你们祖宗逼迫呢？他们也把预先传说那义者要来的人杀了；如今你们又把那义者卖了，杀了。你们受了天使所传的律法，竟不遵守。”众人听见这话就极其恼怒，向司提反咬牙切齿。但司提反被圣灵充满，定睛望天，看见神的荣耀，又看见耶稣站在神的右边，就说：“我看见天开了，人子站在神的右边。”众人大声喊叫，捂着耳朵，齐心拥上前去，把他推到城外，用石头打他。作见证的人把衣裳放在一个少年人名叫扫罗的脚前。他们正用石头打的时候，司提反呼吁主说：“求主耶稣接收我的灵魂！”又跪下大声喊着说：“主啊，不要将这罪归于他们！”说了这话，就睡了。扫罗也喜悦他被害。

所以犹太人逼迫耶稣，因为他在安息日做了这事。

我实实在在地告诉你们，人若遵守我的道，就永远不见死。”

那时，祭司长和法利赛人早已吩咐说，若有人知道耶稣在哪里，就要报明，好去拿他。

于是他们拿石头要打他；耶稣却躲藏，从殿里出去了。

西面给他们祝福，又对孩子的母亲马利亚说：“这孩子被立，是要叫以色列中许多人跌倒，许多人兴起；又要作毁谤的话柄，叫许多人心里的意念显露出来；你自己的心也要被刀刺透。”

法利赛人听见众人为耶稣这样纷纷议论，祭司长和法利赛人就打发差役去捉拿他。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“百姓向你说的一切话，你只管依从；因为他们不是厌弃你，乃是厌弃我，不要我作他们的王。

学生不能高过先生；凡学成了的不过和先生一样。
