Remember what I told you:‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

Remember what I told you. I said,‘ A slave is not more important than his master.’( John 13:16) If people hated me and tried to hurt me, they will do the same to you. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

其實，所有立志在基督耶穌裡過敬虔生活的，都必遭受迫害。

我實實在在告訴你們，僕人不能大過主人，奉差遣的也不能大過差他的人。

“學生不能勝過老師，奴僕也不能勝過主人。

以色列家卻不肯聽從你，因為他們不肯聽從我，整個以色列家都是額堅心硬的。

這些猶太人殺了主耶穌和眾先知，又把我們趕出來。他們得不到神的喜悅，並且和所有的人作對，

受到迫害，卻沒有被丟棄；打倒了，卻不至死亡。

並且勞苦，親手作工。被人咒罵，我們就祝福；遭受迫害，我們就忍受；

誰會相信我們所傳的？耶和華的膀臂向誰顯露呢？他在耶和華面前如嫩芽生長起來，像根出於乾旱之地；他沒有佳形，也沒有威儀，好叫我們仰慕他；他也沒有美貌，使我們被他吸引。他被藐視，被人拒絕，是個多受痛苦，熟悉病患的人。他像個被人掩面不看的人一樣；他被藐視，我們也不重視他。

猶太人又拿起石頭要打他。

希律和本丟．彼拉多，外族人和以色列民，真的在這城裡聚集，反對你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，行了你手和你旨意所預定要成就的一切。主啊，他們恐嚇我們，現在求你鑒察，也賜你僕人們大有膽量，傳講你的道。求你伸手醫治，藉著你聖僕耶穌的名，大行神蹟奇事。”

有哪一個先知，你們的祖先不迫害呢？你們殺了那些預先宣告那義者要來的人，現在又把那義者出賣了，殺害了。你們領受了由天使傳達的律法，卻不遵守。”眾人聽了這些話，心中非常惱怒，就向著司提反咬牙切齒。但司提反被聖靈充滿，定睛望著天，看見神的榮耀，並且看見耶穌站在神的右邊，就說：“看哪！我看見天開了，人子站在神的右邊。”眾人大聲喊叫，掩著耳朵，一齊向他衝過去，把他推出城外，用石頭打他。那些證人把自己的衣服，放在一個名叫掃羅的青年人腳前。他們用石頭打司提反的時候，他呼求說：“主耶穌啊，求你接收我的靈魂！”然後跪下來大聲喊著說：“主啊，不要把這罪歸給他們！”說了這話，就睡了。

從此猶太人就迫害耶穌，因為他常常在安息日作這些事。

我實實在在告訴你們，人若遵守我的道，必定永遠不見死亡。”

祭司長和法利賽人早已下了命令：如果有人知道耶穌在哪裡，就要前來報告，好去逮捕他。

於是他們拿起石頭要打他。耶穌卻躲起來，從殿裡出去了。

西面給他們祝福，對他母親馬利亞說：“看哪！這孩子被立，要叫以色列中許多人跌倒，許多人興起，又要成為反對的目標，

法利賽人聽見群眾紛紛議論這些關於耶穌的事，祭司長和法利賽人就派差役去逮捕耶穌。

耶和華對撒母耳說：“眾民對你所說的一切，你只管聽從，因為他們不是厭棄你，而是厭棄我，不要我作他們的王。

學生不能勝過老師，所有學成的，不過和老師一樣。
