Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.

Remember what I told you:‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

Remember what I told you. I said,‘ A slave is not more important than his master.’( John 13:16) If people hated me and tried to hurt me, they will do the same to you. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove out us, and please not God, and are contrary to all men;

pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed;

and we toil, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

Who hath believed our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed?For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.

The Jews took up stones again to stone him.

for of a truth in this city against thy holy Servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together,to do whatsoever thy hand and thy council foreordained to come to pass.And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants to speak thy word with all boldness,while thou stretchest forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of thy holy Servant Jesus.

Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? and they killed them that showed before of the coming of the Righteous One; of whom ye have now become betrayers and murderers;ye who received the law as it was ordained by angels, and kept it not.Now when they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.But they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord;and they cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.And they stoned Stephen, calling upon the Lord, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my word, he shall never see death.

Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commandment, that, if any man knew where he was, he should show it, that they might take him.

They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.

and Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel; and for a sign which is spoken against;

The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him; and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.

And Jehovah said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee; for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.

The disciple is not above his teacher: but every one when he is perfected shall be as his teacher.
