He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

He cuts off every branch joined to me that does not bear fruit. He trims every branch that does bear fruit. Then it will bear even more fruit.

Later on, however, it yields the fruit of peace and righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent.

He told the vineyard worker,‘ Listen, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it even waste the soil?’“ But he replied to him,‘ Sir, leave it this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.Perhaps it will bear fruit next year, but if not, you can cut it down.’”

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

For ground that has drunk the rain that has often fallen on it and that produces vegetation useful to those it is cultivated for receives a blessing from God.But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and about to be cursed, and will be burned at the end.

My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment,so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

Seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He went up to it and found nothing on it except leaves. And He said to it,“ May no fruit ever come from you again!” At once the fig tree withered.

He will be like a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will present offerings to the Lord in righteousness.

Make sure that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and by it, defiling many.

And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, welcome the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and depart in a time of testing.

For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

While I was with them, I was protecting them by Your name that You have given Me. I guarded them and not one of them is lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.

Let us strive to know the Lord. His appearance is as sure as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the land.

because of the hope reserved for you in heaven. You have already heard about this hope in the message of truth, the gospelthat has come to you. It is bearing fruit and growing all over the world, just as it has among you since the day you heard it and recognized God’s grace in the truth.You learned this from Epaphras, our dearly loved fellow slave. He is a faithful servant of the Messiah on your behalf,and he has told us about your love in the Spirit.For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

The humble will have joy after joy in the Lord, and the poor people will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

He told them another parable:“ The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into 50 pounds of flour until it spread through all of it.”

And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

If I speak human or angelic languages but do not have love, I am a sounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
