But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and[ be] ready always to[ give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

And when it was day, he called[ unto him] his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

We love him, because he first loved us.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called[ me] by his grace,

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning[ here] in fear:Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,[ as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation[ received] by tradition from your fathers;But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;And said unto me, Thou[ art] my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper[ in the thing] whereto I sent it.For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap[ their] hands.Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign[ that] shall not be cut off.

We will not hide[ them] from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:That the generation to come might know[ them, even] the children[ which] should be born;[ who] should arise and declare[ them] to their children:

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.He saith to him again the second time, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.He saith unto him the third time, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace[ be] unto you: as[ my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you.And when he had said this, he breathed on[ them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them;[ and] whose soever[ sins] ye retain, they are retained.

The fruit of the righteous[ is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls[ is] wise.

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation[ of the gospel] is committed unto me.What is my reward then?[ Verily] that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.And ye are witnesses of these things.And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

While they behold your chaste conversation[ coupled] with fear.

Which is come unto you, as[ it is] in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as[ it doth] also in you, since the day ye heard[ of it], and knew the grace of God in truth:

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

( For[ the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.What shall we say then?[ Is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid.For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.So then[ it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle,( I speak the truth in Christ,[ and] lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I[ am] pure from the blood of all[ men].For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you,( but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and[ be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard,[ and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and[ from] your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.Your fathers, where[ are] they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God,[ even] to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
