Even while I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, while I proclaim your power to another generation, your strength to all who are to come.

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Jesus came near and said to them,“ All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Then they prayed,“ You, Lord, know everyone’s hearts; show which of these two you have chosen

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance.But as the one who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct;for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.If you appeal to the Father who judges impartially according to each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in reverence during your time living as strangers.For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold,but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb.He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was revealed in these last times for you.Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Coasts and islands, listen to me; distant peoples, pay attention. The LORD called me before I was born. He named me while I was in my mother’s womb.He made my words like a sharp sword; he hid me in the shadow of his hand. He made me like a sharpened arrow; he hid me in his quiver.He said to me,“ You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

Then he said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bloom and fill the whole world with fruit.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples.

For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat,so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.”You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up, and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up; this will stand as a monument for the LORD, an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

We will not hide them from their children, but will tell a future generation the praiseworthy acts of the LORD, his might, and the wondrous works he has performed.He established a testimony in Jacob and set up a law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach to their childrenso that a future generation— children yet to be born— might know. They were to rise and tell their children

Or has the potter no right over the clay, to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honor and another for dishonor?

For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures.

And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to him,“ you know that I love you.”“ Feed my lambs,” he told him.A second time he asked him,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to him,“ you know that I love you.”“ Shepherd my sheep,” he told him.He asked him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time,“ Do you love me?” He said,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”“ Feed my sheep,” Jesus said.

One generation will declare your works to the next and will proclaim your mighty acts.

Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.”After saying this, he breathed on them and said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, but a cunning person takes lives.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for this man is my chosen instrument to take my name to Gentiles, kings, and Israelites.

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am compelled to preach— and woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!For if I do this willingly, I have a reward, but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a commission.What then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge and not make full use of my rights in the gospel.

These things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our instruction, on whom the ends of the ages have come.

The reason I left you in Crete was to set right what was left undone and, as I directed you, to appoint elders in every town.

For this gospel I was appointed a herald, apostle, and teacher,

and repentance for forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.And look, I am sending you what my Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.”

when they observe your pure, reverent lives.

that has come to you. It is bearing fruit and growing all over the world, just as it has among you since the day you heard it and came to truly appreciate God’s grace.

Then the remnant of Jacob will be among many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for anyone or linger for mankind.

For though her sons had not been born yet or done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to election might stand—not from works but from the one who calls— she was told, The older will serve the younger.As it is written: I have loved Jacob, but I have hated Esau.What should we say then? Is there injustice with God? Absolutely not!For he tells Moses, I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.So then, it does not depend on human will or effort but on God who shows mercy.

For this I was appointed a herald, an apostle( I am telling the truth; I am not lying), and a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

“ And now I know that none of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will ever see me again.Therefore I declare to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you,because I did not avoid declaring to you the whole plan of God.Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

Nevertheless, I have written to remind you more boldly on some points because of the grace given me by Godto be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the gospel of God. God’s purpose is that the Gentiles may be an acceptable offering, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.Therefore I have reason to boast in Christ Jesus regarding what pertains to God.For I would not dare say anything except what Christ has accomplished through me by word and deed for the obedience of the Gentiles,by the power of miraculous signs and wonders, and by the power of God’s Spirit. As a result, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum.

By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was approved as a righteous man, because God approved his gifts, and even though he is dead, he still speaks through his faith.

Through him we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the Gentiles,

Now I don’t want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I often planned to come to you( but was prevented until now) in order that I might have a fruitful ministry among you, just as I have had among the rest of the Gentiles.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.

Do not be like your ancestors; the earlier prophets proclaimed to them: This is what the LORD of Armies says: Turn from your evil ways and your evil deeds. But they did not listen or pay attention to me— this is the LORD’s declaration.Where are your ancestors now? And do the prophets live forever?But didn’t my words and my statutes that I commanded my servants the prophets overtake your ancestors?’” So the people repented and said,“ As the LORD of Armies decided to deal with us for our ways and our deeds, so he has dealt with us.”

not by all the people, but by us whom God appointed as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Abraham is to become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed through him.
