We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, And his strength, and his wondrous works that he hath done.For he established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which he commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;That the generation to come might know them, even the children that should be born; Who should arise and tell them to their children,

Or hath not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

One generation shall laud thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts.

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel.For if I do this of mine own will, I have a reward: but if not of mine own will, I have a stewardship intrusted to me.What then is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel without charge, so as not to use to the full my right in the gospel.

Now these things happened unto them by way of example; and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come.

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that were wanting, and appoint elders in every city, as I gave thee charge;

whereunto I was appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.Ye are witnesses of these things.And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high.

beholding your chaste behavior coupled with fear.

which is come unto you; even as it is also in all the world bearing fruit and increasing, as it doth in you also, since the day ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that tarry not for man, nor wait for the sons of men.

for the children being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth,it was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.Even as it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? whereunto I was appointed a preacher and an apostle( I speak the truth, I lie not), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, shall see my face no more.Wherefore I testify unto you this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.For I shrank not from declaring unto you the whole counsel of God.Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord which he purchased with his own blood.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.I have therefore my glorying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

not to all the people, but unto witnesses that were chosen before of God, even to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
