My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”

Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;

Jesus said to them,“ My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.

For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.

But Jesus answered and said to him,“ Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying,“ This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

“ Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth.He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”

Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:“ Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me.In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure.Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come— in the volume of the book it is written of Me— to do Your will, O God.’”Previously saying,“ Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them”( which are offered according to the law),then He said,“ Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second.By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;
