The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there,

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

“ I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” And let the one who hears say,“ Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

“ All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.“ Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voiceand come out— those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.”

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

“ You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered,“ You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

As you come to him, the living Stone— rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,and since we have a great priest over the house of God,let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

So it is written:“ The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Simon Peter answered him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

Therefore Jesus said again,“ Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,saying:“ Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”Then one of the elders asked me,“ These in white robes— who are they, and where did they come from?”I answered,“ Sir, you know.” And he said,“ These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.Therefore,“ they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.‘ Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat.For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;‘ he will lead them to springs of living water.’‘ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us— by me and Silas and Timothy— was not“ Yes” and“ No,” but in him it has always been“ Yes.”For no matter how many promises God has made, they are“ Yes” in Christ. And so through him the“ Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,

It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast— all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.

These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.

“ To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,

“ To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmedand, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written:“ Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name.”

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty- four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.And they sang a new song, saying:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.

You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still functioning.

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
