Thomas* said to Him,“ Lord, we do not know where You are going; how do we know the way?”

多馬對耶穌說：『主啊，你所去的地方、我們尚且不知道，怎麼知道那條路呢？』

多馬曰、主、爾所往、我且不知、焉知其途乎、

多馬曰、主往之所、我儕且不知、況其途乎、

多瑪曰、主往之所、我儕不知、何能知其途乎、

多默曰：『主乎、吾儕既不知爾之所往、又焉能識其途哉？』

Thomas said to him,“ Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

Thomas said to him,“ Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

“ No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said.“ We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

“ Lord,” Thomas said,“ we don’t know where you’re going. How can we know the way?”

Thomas said to Him,“ Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?

“ Lord,” Thomas said,“ we don’t know where You’re going. How can we know the way?”

Therefore Thomas, who was called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples,“ Let’s also go, so that we may die with Him!”

“ This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

And He answered them and* said,“ O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”

Concerning him we have much to say, and it is difficult to explain, since you have become poor listeners.For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the actual words of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

And then He said to them,“ You foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

And Jesus, aware of this,* said to them,“ Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet comprehend or understand? Do you still have your heart hardened?Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember,

So the other disciples were saying to him,“ We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them,“ Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”Eight days later His disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus* came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said,“ Peace be to you.”Then He* said to Thomas,“ Place your finger here, and see My hands; and take your hand and put it into My side; and do not continue in disbelief, but be a believer.”Thomas answered and said to Him,“ My Lord and my God!”
