多瑪曰、主往之所、我儕不知、何能知其途乎、

多默曰：『主乎、吾儕既不知爾之所往、又焉能識其途哉？』

Thomas said to him,“ Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

“ No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said.“ We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?

“ Lord,” Thomas said,“ we don’t know where You’re going. How can we know the way?”

Then Thomas( called“ Twin”) said to his fellow disciples,“ Let’s go too so that we may die with him.”

“ This is my command: Love one another as I have loved you.

He replied to them,“ You unbelieving generation, how long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to me.”

He said to them,“ How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

Aware of this, he said to them,“ Why are you discussing the fact you have no bread? Don’t you understand or comprehend? Do you have hardened hearts?Do you have eyes and not see; do you have ears and not hear? And do you not remember?

So the other disciples were telling him,“ We’ve seen the Lord!” But he said to them,“ If I don’t see the mark of the nails in his hands, put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will never believe.”A week later his disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you.”Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here and look at my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Don’t be faithless, but believe.”Thomas responded to him,“ My Lord and my God!”
