The angel answered,“ The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. (niv)

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prisonand will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth— Gog and Magog— and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. (niv)

After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. (niv)

Such a high priest truly meets our need— one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. (niv)

He said to them,“ This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.He told them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (niv)

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, (niv)

He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. (niv)

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (niv)
