You heard that I said to you,‘ I am going away, and I am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

爾嘗聞我云、我往而復就爾、爾若愛我、則以我歸父而喜、以父大於我也、

我言將往而復來、爾聞之矣、若愛我、則我言歸父、爾必喜之、以父大於我也、

爾曹已聞我告爾云、我將往、而復來就爾、爾若愛我、則我言歸父、爾必為此喜、因父大於我也、

爾已聞予言之、予去當復來、爾若真愛予者、則宜因予歸父而喜、以父實大於予也。

“ You heard me say,‘ I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

“ You heard me say,‘ I am going away. And I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad I am going to the Father. The Father is greater than I am.

You heard me say to you,‘ I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am.

You have heard me tell you,‘ I am going away and I am coming to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.

You have heard Me say to you,‘ I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said,‘ I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

So Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

“ I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.

But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of His suffering death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the originator of their salvation through sufferings.For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for this reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying,“ I will proclaim Your name to My brothers, In the midst of the assembly I will sing Your praise.”And again,“ I will put My trust in Him.” And again,“ Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world.And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Jesus* said to her,“ Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them,‘ I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’ ”

God has ascended with a shout, The Lord, with the sound of a trumpet.Sing praises to God, sing praises; Sing praises to our King, sing praises.For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with a psalm of wisdom.

Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.

In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be.And you know the way where I am going.”

But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I am going to the Father.

“ A little while, and you no longer are going to see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me.”So some of His disciples said to one another,“ What is this that He is telling us,‘ A little while, and you are not going to see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’; and,‘ because I am going to the Father’?”So they were saying,“ What is this that He says,‘ A little while’? We do not know what He is talking about.”Jesus knew that they wanted to question Him, and He said to them,“ Are you deliberating together about this, that I said,‘ A little while, and you are not going to see Me, and again a little while, and you will see Me’?Truly, truly I say to you that you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy!Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one is going to take your joy away from you.

and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to our God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.The last enemy that will be abolished is death.For He has put all things in subjection under His feet. But when He says,“ All things are put in subjection,” it is clear that this excludes the Father who put all things in subjection to Him.When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus;He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among people, Even among the rebellious as well, that the Lord God may dwell there.

You made plentiful rain fall, God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched.

As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, For He will bear their wrongdoings.

but if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.”

who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond servant and being born in the likeness of men.And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross.For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying,“ Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.

“ Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.

“ Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen; My Beloved in whom My soul delights; I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.

saying,“ Write on a scroll what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him( For I am honored in the sight of the Lord, And My God is My strength),He says,“ It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the protected ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”This is what the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, Says to the despised One, To the One abhorred by the nation, To the Servant of rulers:“ Kings will see and arise, Princes will also bow down, Because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.”

While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple praising God.
