爾已聞予言之、予去當復來、爾若真愛予者、則宜因予歸父而喜、以父實大於予也。

“ You heard me say,‘ I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

You heard me say to you,‘ I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am.

Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.

But we behold him who hath been made a little lower than the angels, even Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for every man.For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, In the midst of the congregation will I sing thy praise.And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children whom God hath given me.Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;and might deliver all them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

God is gone up with a shout, Jehovah with the sound of a trumpet.Sing praises to God, sing praises: Sing praises unto our King, sing praises.For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord; neither one that is sent greater than he that sent him.

In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.And whither I go, ye know the way.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.

A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.Some of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye behold me not; and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? We know not what he saith.Jesus perceived that they were desirous to ask him, and he said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, A little while, and ye behold me not, and again a little while, and ye shall see me?Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world.And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

whom not having seen ye love; on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.The last enemy that shall be abolished is death.For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him.And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.

My Father, who hath given them unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house.For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honor than the house.For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.

Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives; Thou hast received gifts among men, Yea, among the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell with them.

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.

But if I do them, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.

who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name;that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last,and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

Behold, my servant whom I have chosen; My beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit upon him, And he shall declare judgment to the Gentiles.

saying, What thou seest, write in a book and send it to the seven churches: unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

And now saith Jehovah that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered unto him( for I am honorable in the eyes of Jehovah, and my God is become my strength);yea, he saith, It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Jehovah that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:and were continually in the temple, blessing God.
