Also you do not have His word remaining in you, because you do not believe Him whom He sent.

The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”Judas( not Iscariot)* said to Him,“ Lord, what has happened that You are going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus answered and said to him,“ If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.

For He whom God sent speaks the words of God; for He does not give the Spirit sparingly.

We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters.But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will set our heart at ease before Him,that if our heart condemns us, that God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things.

“ If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in the same way.

“ Then He will also say to those on His left,‘ Depart from Me, you accursed people, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’Then they themselves also will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’Then He will answer them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

I have many things to say and to judge regarding you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I say to the world.”

I speak of the things which I have seen with My Father; therefore you also do the things which you heard from your father.”

So Jesus said,“ When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and I do nothing on My own, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me.

Now Jesus cried out and said,“ The one who believes in Me, does not believe only in Me, but also in Him who sent Me.And the one who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness.If anyone hears My teachings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.The one who rejects Me and does not accept My teachings has one who judges him: the word which I spoke. That will judge him on the last day.For I did not speak on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”

Then Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying,“ You both know Me and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

I am not saying this as a command, but as proving, through the earnestness of others, the sincerity of your love as well.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
