Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

So Jesus explained,“ I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

He testifies about what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them!Anyone who accepts his testimony can affirm that God is true.For he is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit.

I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.

for I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me.

The Father and I are one.”

For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.

So Jesus said,“ When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I Am he. I do nothing on my own but say only what the Father taught me.

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

But Jesus replied,“ My Father is always working, and so am I.”

For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day.For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”

When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,

I am telling you what I saw when I was with my Father. But you are following the advice of your father.”

So Jesus told them,“ My message is not my own; it comes from God who sent me.

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one— as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.“ I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.

Instead, you are trying to kill me because I told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham never did such a thing.

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.He existed in the beginning with God.God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

So we have these three witnesses—

While Jesus was teaching in the Temple, he called out,“ Yes, you know me, and you know where I come from. But I’m not here on my own. The one who sent me is true, and you don’t know him.But I know him because I come from him, and he sent me to you.”

Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

Why do you look with envy, O rugged mountains, at Mount Zion, where God has chosen to live, where the Lord himself will live forever?Surrounded by unnumbered thousands of chariots, the Lord came from Mount Sinai into his sanctuary.When you ascended to the heights, you led a crowd of captives. You received gifts from the people, even from those who rebelled against you. Now the Lord God will live among us there.
