Jesus replied,“ You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

耶穌曰：『予之所為、汝今不知其意、後當知之。』

Jesus replied,“ You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

Jesus answered him,“ What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.”

Jesus answered him,“ What I’m doing you don’t realize now, but afterward you will understand.”

Jesus answered and said to him,“ What I am doing, you do not realize right now, but you will understand later.”

Jesus answered and said to him,“ What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt understand hereafter.

Jesus answered him,“ What I’m doing you don’t understand now, but afterward you will know.”

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Jesus replied,“ You do not understand what I am doing now, but you will understand after these things.”

Jesus answered him,“ You don’t know what I am doing now, but you will understand later.”

I heard what he said, but I did not understand what he meant. So I asked,“ How will all this finally end, my lord?”

His disciples didn’t understand at the time that this was a fulfillment of prophecy. But after Jesus entered into his glory, they remembered what had happened and realized that these things had been written about him.

Jesus replied,“ A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean. And you disciples are clean, but not all of you.”For Jesus knew who would betray him. That is what he meant when he said,“ Not all of you are clean.”After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked,“ Do you understand what I was doing?

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative— that is, the Holy Spirit— he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

And blessed are those who wait and remain until the end of the 1,335 days!

Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.Don’t grumble about each other, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. For look— the Judge is standing at the door!For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.

Simon Peter asked,“ Lord, where are you going?” And Jesus replied,“ You can’t go with me now, but you will follow me later.”

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint.Then the Lord said to me,“ Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

Fields will again be bought and sold in this land about which you now say,‘ It has been ravaged by the Babylonians, a desolate land where people and animals have all disappeared.’

“ See how the siege ramps have been built against the city walls! Through war, famine, and disease, the city will be handed over to the Babylonians, who will conquer it. Everything has happened just as you said.And yet, O Sovereign Lord, you have told me to buy the field— paying good money for it before these witnesses— even though the city will soon be handed over to the Babylonians.”
