Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said,“ My Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”
His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.
Jesus said to him,“ He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said,“ You are not all clean.”So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them,“ Do you know what I have done to you?
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord— that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
Simon Peter said to Him,“ Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered him,“ Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward.”
I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the Lord answered me and said:“ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
And fields will be bought in this land of which you say,“ It is desolate, without man or beast; it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.”
‘ Look, the siege mounds! They have come to the city to take it; and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword and famine and pestilence. What You have spoken has happened; there You see it!And You have said to me, O Lord God,“ Buy the field for money, and take witnesses”!— yet the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’”
