Jesus replied,“ You don’t realize now what I am doing. But later you will understand.”

耶稣回答说：“我所做的，你现在不理解，不过事后就会明白。”

耶穌曰：『予之所為、汝今不知其意、後當知之。』

Jesus replied,“ You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

Jesus answered him,“ What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.”

Jesus replied,“ You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

Jesus answered him,“ What I’m doing you don’t realize now, but afterward you will understand.”

Jesus answered and said to him,“ What I am doing, you do not realize right now, but you will understand later.”

Jesus answered and said to him,“ What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt understand hereafter.

Jesus answered him,“ What I’m doing you don’t understand now, but afterward you will know.”

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Jesus replied,“ You do not understand what I am doing now, but you will understand after these things.”

Jesus answered him,“ You don’t know what I am doing now, but you will understand later.”

I heard what he said. But I didn’t understand it. So I asked,“ My master, what will come of all this?”

At first, Jesus’ disciples did not understand all this. They realized it only after he had received glory. Then they realized that these things had been written about him. They realized that these things had been done to him.

Jesus answered,“ People who have had a bath need to wash only their feet. The rest of their body is clean. And you are clean. But not all of you are.”Jesus knew who was going to hand him over to his enemies. That was why he said not every one was clean.When Jesus finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes. Then he returned to his place.“ Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them.

But the Father will send the Friend in my name to help you. The Friend is the Holy Spirit. He will teach you all things. He will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Blessed are those who wait for the 1,335 days and reach the end of them.

Brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord comes. See how the farmer waits for the land to produce its rich crop. See how patient the farmer is for the fall and spring rains.You too must be patient. You must remain strong. The Lord will soon come back.Brothers and sisters, don’t find fault with one another. If you do, you will be judged. And the Judge is standing at the door!Brothers and sisters, think about the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. They are an example of how to be patient when you suffer.As you know, we think that people who don’t give up are blessed. You have heard that Job was patient. And you have seen what the Lord finally did for him. The Lord is full of tender mercy and loving concern.

Simon Peter asked him,“ Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied,“ Where I am going you can’t follow now. But you will follow me later.”

I will go up to the lookout tower. I’ll station myself on the city wall. I’ll wait to see how the Lord will reply to me. Then I’ll try to figure out how his reply answers what I’ve complained about.The Lord replies,“ Write down the message I am giving you. Write it clearly on the tablets you use. Then a messenger can read it and run to announce it.The message I give you waits for the time I have appointed. It speaks about what is going to happen. And all of it will come true. It might take a while. But wait for it. You can be sure it will come. It will happen when I want it to.

Once more fields will be bought in this land. It is the land about which you now say,‘ It is a dry and empty desert. It doesn’t have any people or animals in it. It has been handed over to the armies of Babylon.’

“‘ See how ramps are built up against Jerusalem’s walls to attack it. The city will be handed over to the armies of Babylon. They are attacking it. It will fall because of war, hunger and plague. What you said would happen is now happening, as you can see.Lord and King, the city will be handed over to the armies of Babylon. In spite of that, you tell me to buy a field. You say,“ Pay for it with silver. And have the sale witnessed.” ’ ”
