這樣、就到了西門彼得那裏了；彼得對耶穌說：『主啊，你洗我的腳麼？』

他來到西門彼得面前，彼得對他說：「主啊，你洗我的腳嗎？」

爰至西門伯鐸祿前、而伯鐸祿止之曰：『主欲濯吾足耶？』

So he cometh to Simon Peter. He saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

Then he came to Simon Peter. Peter said to him,“ Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’s knees and said,“ Go away from me, because I’m a sinful man, Lord!”

“ I baptize you with water for repentance, but the one who is coming after me is more powerful than I. I am not worthy to remove his sandals. He himself will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.His winnowing shovel is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn. But the chaff he will burn with fire that never goes out.”Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan, to be baptized by him.But John tried to stop him, saying,“ I need to be baptized by you, and yet you come to me?”

He is the one coming after me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to untie.”
