说：“我主啊，请转往你们的仆人家里过夜，洗洗你们的脚，清早起来再上路。”他们却说：“不，我们就在广场上过夜。”

求你彻底洗涤我的罪孽，洁净我的罪；

娅比盖就起来，脸伏于地下拜，说：“看哪，你的女仆愿意作婢女，为我主的仆人洗脚。”

不过有一个士兵用长矛刺入耶稣的肋旁，立刻有血和水流了出来。

从那信实的见证者、死人中首先复活的、地上众君王的元首耶稣基督，临到你们！他爱我们，用自己的血，把我们从我们的罪孽中释放出来，

基督这么做，是要藉着话语，用水的洗涤而洁净教会，使她分别为圣，

藉着水和血而来的那一位，就是耶稣基督，不仅藉着水，也藉着水和血；并且圣灵是做见证的那一位，因为圣灵就是真理。

耶稣洗完了他们的脚以后，穿上外衣，又坐下来，对他们说：“你们明白我为你们做的事吗？你们叫我‘老师’，称呼我‘主’。你们说得对，因为我就是那一位。因此，如果我——你们的主、你们的老师，还洗你们的脚，那么你们也应该彼此洗脚。

其实，我们从前也是无知、悖逆、被迷惑的，做各种欲望和享乐的奴仆，活在恶毒和嫉妒中，是可憎恶的，又彼此相恨。但是，当神我们救主的仁慈和他对人的爱显明的时候，他拯救了我们；这不是本于我们所做的义行，而是照着他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗涤和圣灵的更新。

你们有些人过去是这样，但是藉着主耶稣基督的名，藉着我们神的灵，你们已经被洗净了，被分别为圣了，被称为义了。

彼得说：“你绝不可洗我的脚，永远不可！”耶稣说：“如果我不洗你，你就与我没有份了。”

她站在耶稣后面，在他的脚边哭泣，开始用泪水沾湿耶稣的脚，再用自己的头发擦干，又亲吻他的脚，用香液膏抹。

现在你还等什么呢？起来，当受洗！求告他的名，当洗去你的罪孽！’

既然我们的心被血洒过，脱离了罪恶感，身体也被清水洗净了，就让我们怀着真诚的心，以确信不移的信仰近前来；

耶稣说：“洗过澡的人，除了脚以外，没有需要洗的；他是完全干净的。你们是干净的，但不是每个人都干净。”

“洗涤自己，洁净自己吧，从我眼前除掉你们的恶行！当停止作恶，

我对他说：“我主啊，你是知道的。”他就对我说：“这些人都是从大患难中出来的。他们用羔羊的血洗净了自己的袍子，使它们洁白了。
