“到那日，必有一個泉源，為大衛家和耶路撒冷的居民開放，洗除他們的罪惡和不潔。

我們從前也是無知、不順服、受了迷惑、被各種私慾和逸樂所奴役，生活在惡毒和嫉妒之中，是可憎可惡的，並且互相仇視。然而，到了神我們的救主顯明他的恩慈和憐愛的時候，他就救了我們，並不是由於我們所行的義，而是照著他的憐憫，藉著重生的洗和聖靈的更新。

你們有些人從前也是這樣的，但現在藉著我們主耶穌基督的名，靠著我們神的靈，都已經洗淨了，聖潔了，稱義了。

我必用潔淨的水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了；我必潔淨你們的一切污穢，使你們遠離所有可憎的像。

彼得說：“不行，你千萬不可洗我的腳！”耶穌說：“如果我不洗你，你就與我沒有關係了。”

以利沙差派一個使者去見他說：“你去在約旦河中沐浴七次，你的身體就會復原，得著潔淨。”乃縵卻發怒走了，他說：“我以為他必會出來，站著求告耶和華他的神的名，向著患處搖手，潔淨這痲風病。大馬士革的亞罷拿河和法珥法河，不是比以色列一切河流更好嗎？我不是可以在那裡沐浴，得著潔淨嗎？”於是他掉過頭來，氣忿忿地走了。他的僕人上前，對他說：“我父啊，先知如果吩咐你作一件大事，你不是照著行嗎？何況他只是說：‘你去沐浴就得潔淨’呢？”

現在你為甚麼還耽擱呢？起來受洗，求告他的名，洗淨你的罪吧。’

我們良心的邪惡既然被灑淨，身體也用清水洗淨了，那麼，我們就應該懷著真誠的心和完備的信，進到神面前；

耶穌說：“洗過澡的人，全身都潔淨，只需要洗腳就可以了。你們是潔淨的，但不是人人都是這樣。”

你們要洗滌自己，潔淨自己；從我眼前除掉你們的惡行；要停止作惡，

你要把亞倫和他兒子們帶到會幕門口，用水給他們洗身。

我對他說：“我主啊，你是知道的。”他告訴我：“這些人是從大患難中出來的。他們用羊羔的血，把自己的衣袍洗潔白了。
