Jesus answered him,“ Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times.

耶穌回答說：『你的性命、你要替我放棄！我實實在在地告訴你，雞還未叫，你必定要三次否認我了。』

耶穌曰、爾願為我舍命乎、我誠告爾、鷄鳴之先、爾將三次言不識我矣、

耶穌曰：『汝欲為予致命耶！予確實語汝、今宵鷄猶未鳴、行見汝三背予矣！』

Then Jesus answered,“ Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!

Then Jesus answered,“ Will you really give your life for me? What I’m about to tell you is true. Before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me!

Jesus answered,“ Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times.

Jesus answered,“ Die for me? I tell you the truth, Peter— before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.

Jesus replied,“ Will you lay down your life for me? Truly I tell you, a rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times.

Jesus answereth, Wilt thou lay down thy life for me? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

Jesus replied,“ Will you lay down your life for Me? I assure you: A rooster will not crow until you have denied Me three times.

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.

A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

Now as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came.And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said,“ You also were with Jesus of Nazareth.”But he denied it, saying,“ I neither know nor understand what you are saying.” And he went out on the porch, and a rooster crowed.And the servant girl saw him again, and began to say to those who stood by,“ This is one of them.”But he denied it again. And a little later those who stood by said to Peter again,“ Surely you are one of them; for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows it.”Then he began to curse and swear,“ I do not know this Man of whom you speak!”A second time the rooster crowed. Then Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him,“ Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And when he thought about it, he wept.

Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying,“ You also were with Jesus of Galilee.”But he denied it before them all, saying,“ I do not know what you are saying.”And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there,“ This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”But again he denied with an oath,“ I do not know the Man!”And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter,“ Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.”Then he began to curse and swear, saying,“ I do not know the Man!” Immediately a rooster crowed.And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him,“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.

Then He said,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.”

But Peter stood at the door outside. Then the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought Peter in.Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter,“ You are not also one of this Man’s disciples, are you?” He said,“ I am not.”

Jesus said to him,“ Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said,“ This man was also with Him.”But he denied Him, saying,“ Woman, I do not know Him.”And after a little while another saw him and said,“ You also are of them.” But Peter said,“ Man, I am not!”Then after about an hour had passed, another confidently affirmed, saying,“ Surely this fellow also was with Him, for he is a Galilean.”But Peter said,“ Man, I do not know what you are saying!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him,“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”So Peter went out and wept bitterly.

Jesus said to him,“ Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”

Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him,“ You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not!”One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off, said,“ Did I not see you in the garden with Him?”Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed.
