Peter* said to Him,“ Lord, why can I not follow You right now? I will lay down my life for You.”

彼得说：“主啊，我为什么现在不能跟你去？我愿意为你舍命！”

彼得对他说：“主啊，为什么我现在不能跟你去？我愿意为你舍命。”

彼得对他说：“主啊，为什么我现在不能跟你去？我愿意为你舍命。”

彼得说：“主啊！为什么我现在不能跟你去呢？就是为你死，我也愿意！”

彼得说：“主啊，为什么我现在不能跟着你去？为了你，我舍命也愿意！”

彼得说：“主啊，为什么我现在就不能跟随你呢？为了你，我愿意舍弃自己的生命！”

彼得說：「主啊，我為甚麼現在不能跟你去？我願意為你捨命！」

彼得對他說：「主啊，為甚麼我現在不能跟你去？我願意為你捨命。」

彼得對他說：「主啊，為甚麼我現在不能跟你去？我願意為你捨命。」

彼得說：「主啊！為什麼我現在不能跟你去呢？就是為你死，我也願意！」

彼得說：“主啊，為甚麼我現在不能跟著你去？為了你，我捨命也願意！”

彼得對耶穌說：『主啊，為甚麼我現在不能跟着你啊？連我的性命、我都要替你放棄呢！』

彼得說：「主啊，為什麼我現在就不能跟隨你呢？為了你，我願意捨棄自己的生命！」

彼得曰、主、今何不能從爾乎、我欲為爾捐生、

彼得曰、主、胡為今不能從爾乎、我願為爾捐命、

彼得曰、主、胡為今不能從爾、我願為爾舍命、

伯鐸祿曰：『今亦曷為弗克相隨乎？雖為主致命、亦所甘心！』

Peter asked,“ Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

“ Lord,” Peter asked,“ why can’t I follow you now? I will give my life for you.”

Peter said to him,“ Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

“ But why can’t I come now, Lord?” he asked.“ I’m ready to die for you.”

“ Lord,” Peter asked,“ why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

Peter said to Him,“ Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.”

Peter saith unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee even now? I will lay down my life for thee.

“ Lord,” Peter asked,“ why can’t I follow You now? I will lay down my life for You!”

Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.

Peter said to him,“ Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!”

Peter said to him,“ Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

And Jesus* said to them,“ You will all fall away, because it is written:‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”But Peter said to Him,“ Even if they all fall away, yet I will not!”And Jesus* said to him,“ Truly I say to you, that this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you yourself will deny Me three times.”But Peter repeatedly said insistently,“ Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all were saying the same thing as well.

Then Jesus* said to them,“ You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written:‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”But Peter replied to Him,“ Even if they all fall away because of You, I will never fall away!”Jesus said to him,“ Truly I say to you that this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”Peter* said to Him,“ Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” All the disciples said the same thing as well.

“ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to sift you men like wheat;but I have prayed for you, that your faith will not fail; and you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”But he said to Him,“ Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death!”But He said,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”

Then Paul replied,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Now when they had finished breakfast, Jesus* said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” He* said to Him,“ Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He* said to him,“ Tend My lambs.”

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.
