“ Truly I tell you, when you were younger, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”He said this to indicate by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. After saying this, he told him,“ Follow me.”

Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so now I tell you,‘ Where I am going, you cannot come.’

In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

You know the way to where I am going.”“ Lord,” Thomas said,“ we don’t know where you’re going. How can we know the way?”

Then some of his disciples said to one another,“ What is this he’s telling us:‘ In a little while, you will not see me; again in a little while, you will see me,’ and,‘ Because I am going to the Father’?”

When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus,“ Lord, what about him?”“ If I want him to remain until I come,” Jesus answered,“ what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”
