西门．彼得对耶稣说：“主啊，你往哪里去？”耶稣回答：“我去的地方，你现在不能跟着我去，但后来却要跟着我去。”

西门‧彼得问耶稣：“主啊，你去哪里？”耶稣回答：“我所去的地方，你现在不能跟我去，以后却要跟我去。”

Simon Peter asked him,“ Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied,“ Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later.”

因为我知道我离世（“离世”原文作“离开这帐棚”）的时候快到了，正如我们的主耶稣基督清楚指示我的。

我实实在在告诉你，你年轻的时候，自己束上腰带，随意往来；但到了年老的时候，你要伸出手来，别人要把你绑着，带你到你不愿意去的地方。”耶稣说这话，是指明彼得将怎样死，来荣耀神。说了这话，就对彼得说：“你跟从我吧！”

孩子们啊，我跟你们在一起的时候不多了。你们要寻找我，但是我对犹太人说过，现在也照样对你们说：‘我去的地方，是你们不能去的。’

在我父的家里，有许多住的地方；如果没有，我怎么会告诉你们我去是要为你们预备地方呢？（下半节或译：“如果没有，我早就对你们说了，因为我去是为你们预备地方。”）

我去的地方，你们知道那条路。”多马说：“主啊，我们不知道你去的地方，怎能知道那条路呢？”

于是他的门徒中有几个彼此说：“他对我们说：‘不久，你们不会看见我；再过不久，你们还要看见我。’又说：‘因为我到父那里去。’这是什么意思呢？”

彼得看见他，就问耶稣：“主啊，这个人将来怎么样？”耶稣回答他：“如果我要他活到我来的时候，跟你有什么关系呢？你只管跟从我吧！”
