耶穌又對門徒說：「聽從你們的就是聽從我；棄絕你們的就是棄絕我；棄絕我的就是棄絕差遣我來的那位。」

對他們說：「凡為我的名接納這小孩子的，就是接納我；凡接納我的，就是接納那差我來的。你們中間最小的，他就是最大的。」

「凡為我的名接納一個像這小孩子的，就是接納我；凡接納我的，不是接納我，而是接納那差我來的。」

「接納你們的就是接納我；接納我的就是接納差遣我來的那位。把先知當作先知接納的，必得先知的賞賜；把義人當作義人接納的，必得義人的賞賜。無論誰，只因門徒的名，就算把一杯涼水給這些小子中的一個喝，我實在告訴你們，他一定會得到賞賜。」

王回答他們說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們做在我弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。』

雖然你們為我身體的緣故受試煉，卻沒有輕看我，也沒有厭棄我，反倒接待我如同上帝的使者，如同基督耶穌。

所以，那棄絕這教導的不是棄絕人，而是棄絕那把自己的聖靈賜給你們的上帝。

耶穌喊着說：「信我的人不是信我，而是信差我來的那位。看見我的，就是看見差我來的那位。我就是來到世上的光，使凡信我的不住在黑暗裏。若有人聽見我的話而不遵守，我不審判他，因為我來不是要審判世人，而是要拯救世人。棄絕我、不領受我話的人自有審判他的；我所講的道在末日要審判他。

既然你們接受了主基督耶穌，就要靠着他而生活，
