耶穌繼續對門徒說：「誰聽從你們，就是聽從我；誰拒絕你們，就是拒絕我；拒絕我的，就是拒絕差我來的那位。」

然後對門徒說：「任何人為了我的緣故接待這樣一個小孩子，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待差我來的那位。你們當中最卑微的其實是最偉大的。」

「任何人為我的緣故接待這樣一個小孩子，就是接待我；凡接待我的，不單是接待我，也是接待差我來的那位。」

「人接待你們就是接待我，接待我就是接待差我來的那位。因為某人是先知而接待他的，必得到和先知一樣的賞賜；因為某人是義人而接待他的，必得到和義人一樣的賞賜。人若接待我門徒中最卑微的人，並因為他是我的門徒而給他一杯涼水喝，我實在告訴你們，那人必得到賞賜。」

「王會回答說，『我實在告訴你們，你們幫助我最卑微的一個弟兄，就是幫助我了。』

那時，你們雖然因為我生病而受累，卻沒有輕視我、嫌棄我，反而接待我，就像接待上帝的天使，接待基督耶穌一樣。

所以，人若拒絕遵行這命令，他不是拒絕人，而是拒絕賜聖靈給你們的上帝。

耶穌高聲說：「信我的，其實不只是信我，而是信差我來的那位。人看見了我，就是看見了差我來的那位。我來是要作世界的光，好叫信我的人脫離黑暗。聽了我的話卻不遵守的人，我不審判他，因為我來不是要審判世人，而是要拯救世人。棄絕我、不接受我話的人將受到審判，我講過的道在末日要審判他，

你們既然接受了基督耶穌為主，就當繼續遵從祂，
