“ I am not saying these things to all of you; I know the ones I have chosen. But this fulfills the Scripture that says,‘ The one who eats my food has turned against me.’

然爾曹中亦非人人能語此。予非不識予之所選、顧經中所言：「食吾之食、舉踵相敵、」亦當見應耳。

“ I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill this passage of Scripture:‘ He who shared my bread has turned against me.’

“ I am not talking about all of you. I know the ones I have chosen. But this will happen so that this passage of Scripture will come true. It says,‘ The one who shared my bread has turned against me.’( Psalm 41:9)

I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled,‘ He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’

“ I’m not speaking about all of you; I know those I have chosen. But the Scripture must be fulfilled: The one who eats my bread has raised his heel against me.

I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth my bread lifted up his heel against me.

Even my best friend, the one I trusted completely, the one who shared my food, has turned against me.

During my time here, I protected them by the power of the name you gave me. I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures foretold.

He replied,“ One of you who has just eaten from this bowl with me will betray me.

He replied,“ It is one of you twelve who is eating from this bowl with me.

Jesus responded,“ It is the one to whom I give the bread I dip in the bowl.” And when he had dipped it, he gave it to Judas, son of Simon Iscariot.

Jesus replied,“ A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean. And you disciples are clean, but not all of you.”For Jesus knew who would betray him. That is what he meant when he said,“ Not all of you are clean.”

Then Jesus said,“ I chose the twelve of you, but one is a devil.”

The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve.

Your enemies will be right in your own household!’

You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.

A third time he asked him,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said,“ Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Then feed my sheep.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.
