For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.

Jesus knew who was going to hand him over to his enemies. That was why he said not every one was clean.

For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said,“ Not all of you are clean.”

For Jesus knew who would betray him. That is what he meant when he said,“ Not all of you are clean.”

For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.From that[ time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?He spake of Judas Iscariot[ the son] of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped[ it]. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave[ it] to Judas Iscariot,[ the son] of Simon.

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s[ son], to betray him;

The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
