“ You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.They took counsel together that they might take Jesus by deceit, and kill him.But they said,“ Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people.”

Then he came to his disciples, and said to them,“ Sleep on now, and take your rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching.The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.

Jesus answered,“ Aren’t there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn’t in him.”

They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me,‘ Where are you going?’But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”

Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.

For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end,

Jesus therefore said to them,“ My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

He said to them,“ Go and tell that fox,‘ Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it can’t be that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem.’

It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem

But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.I have given them your word. The world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
