Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

We love, because He first loved us.

And we desire that each one of you demonstrate the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end,

I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on the behalf of those whom You have given Me, because they are Yours;and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.I am no longer going to be in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.

Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was near.

Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up to Jerusalem from the country prior to the Passover, in order to purify themselves.

Jesus spoke these things; and raising His eyes to heaven, He said,“ Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, so that the Son may glorify You,

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and* said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love.If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Now the Passover and Festival of Unleavened Bread were two days away; and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to arrest Him covertly and kill Him;for they were saying,“ Not during the festival, otherwise there will be a riot of the people.”

You heard that I said to you,‘ I am going away, and I am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

“ You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.”At that time the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together in the courtyard of the high priest named Caiaphas;and they plotted together to arrest Jesus covertly and kill Him.But they were saying,“ Not during the festival, otherwise a riot might occur among the people.”

Then He* came to the disciples and* said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching.And the chief priests and the scribes were trying to find a way to put Him to death, since they were afraid of the people.

Jesus replied,“ Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks during the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.But if anyone walks during the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

So they were seeking to arrest Him; and yet no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

“ But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me,‘ Where are You going?’But because I have said these things to you, grief has filled your heart.But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

These words He spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple area; and no one arrested Him, because His hour had not yet come.

but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house— whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope.

While I was with you daily in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but this hour and the power of darkness are yours.”

And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.

For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end,

So Jesus* said to them,“ My time is not yet here, but your time is always ready.

Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

And He said to them,“ Go and tell that fox,‘ Behold, I am casting out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I reach My goal.’Nevertheless I must go on My journey today and tomorrow and the next day; for it cannot be that a prophet would perish outside Jerusalem.

When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem;

But now I am coming to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

The Lord appeared to him long ago, saying,“ I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you out with kindness.

Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.You are My friends if you do what I command you.

who will also confirm you to the end, blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
