耶穌說：「人子得榮耀的時候到了。

我賜給你們一條新命令——你們要彼此相愛。我怎樣愛你們，你們也要怎樣彼此相愛。

耶穌知道父將一切交給了祂，也知道自己從上帝那裡來、要回到上帝那裡，

我從父那裡來到這個世界，現在我要離開這個世界回到父那裡。」

作丈夫的要愛妻子，正如基督愛教會，為教會捨己，好藉著自己的道用水洗淨教會，使她聖潔，

因為他們像我一樣不屬於這個世界。

我們愛，因為上帝先愛了我們。

願你們各人從始至終表現出同樣的殷勤，以便對所盼望的有完全的把握。

「我不為世人祈求，卻為他們祈求，就是為你賜給我的那些人祈求，因為他們屬於你。一切屬於我的都是你的，屬於你的也是我的，我從他們身上得了榮耀。現在我要離開這個世界去你那裡了，他們卻仍然留在世上。聖父啊，求你為了自己的名，就是你賜給我的名而保守他們，使他們像我們一樣合而為一。

那時，猶太人的逾越節快到了。

猶太人的逾越節快到了，有很多人從鄉下上耶路撒冷，預備在過節前潔淨自己。

耶穌說完後，就抬頭望著天說：「父啊！時候到了，願你使你的兒子得榮耀，好讓你的兒子也使你得榮耀。

耶穌早就知道將要發生在自己身上的一切事，於是出來問他們：「你們找誰？」

父怎樣愛我，我也怎樣愛你們。你們要常在我的愛中。你們若遵守我的命令，就必常在我的愛中，正如我遵守了父的命令，常在父的愛中一樣。

教導他們遵守我吩咐你們的一切。記住，我必常與你們同在，一直到世界的末了。」

我使他們認識了你的名，我還要使他們更認識你，好讓你對我的愛存在他們裡面，我也在他們裡面。」

再過兩天就是逾越節和除酵節，祭司長和律法教師正暗暗地找機會拘捕、殺害耶穌。他們說：「我們不能在節期那天下手，以免在百姓中引起騷亂。」

「我對你們說過，我去了還要再回到你們這裡。如果你們真的愛我，就應當為我去父那裡而歡喜快樂，因為父比我大。

「你們知道，兩天後就是逾越節，到時人子會被出賣，被釘在十字架上。」那時，祭司長和民間的長老正聚集在大祭司該亞法的府裡，密謀逮捕、殺害耶穌。但他們認為在節日期間不宜下手，因為可能會在百姓中引起騷亂。

然後，祂回到門徒那裡，對他們說：「你們還在睡覺，還在休息嗎？看啊！時候到了，人子要被出賣，交在罪人手裡了。

除酵節，又名逾越節，快到了。祭司長和律法教師因為害怕百姓，便密謀如何殺害耶穌。

耶穌說：「白天不是有十二個小時嗎？人在白天走路，不會跌倒，因為他看得見這世上的光。人在夜間走路，才會跌倒，因為沒有光。」

他們聽了，想捉拿耶穌，只是沒有人下手，因為祂的時候還沒有到。

「現在我要去差我來的父那裡，你們沒有人問我去哪裡。因為我把這些事告訴了你們，你們心裡充滿了憂愁。然而，我把實情告訴你們，我去對你們是有益的，因為如果我不去，護慰者就不會來，我去了就會派祂到你們這裡來。

耶穌在聖殿的庫房這樣教導人，但沒有人抓祂，因為祂的時候還沒有到。

但基督是以兒子的身分忠心治理上帝的家。我們若堅強勇敢，持定引以為榮的盼望，我們就是祂的家了。

我天天和你們一起在聖殿裡，你們沒有抓我。但現在正是黑暗當權、你們得勢的時候了！」

父啊，現在讓我和你同享創世以前我們所共有的榮耀吧！

如果我們將起初的信念堅持到底，便在基督裡有份了。

耶穌對他們說：「我的時候還沒有到，你們什麼時候都很方便。

所以，要預備好你們的心，謹慎自律，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現時要帶給你們的恩典。

耶穌說：「你們去告訴那個狐狸，『今天和明天，我要繼續趕鬼治病，到第三天，我的任務就完成了。』無論如何，今天、明天和後天我必須繼續前行，因為先知不能死在耶路撒冷以外的地方。

耶穌被接回天家的日子快到了，祂決定前往耶路撒冷。

「現在我要去你那裡了，我趁著還在世上的時候這樣說，是要叫他們心裡充滿我的喜樂。我已將你的道賜給他們，世人恨他們，因為他們像我一樣不屬於這個世界。

從前，耶和華向以色列顯現，說：「我以永遠不變的愛愛你，我以慈愛吸引你到我身邊。

為朋友捨命可以說是人間最偉大的愛了。你們如果照我的吩咐去做，就是我的朋友。

我們的主耶穌基督必扶持你們到底，使你們在祂再來的日子無可指責。

然而，靠著愛我們的主，我們在這一切事上已經得勝有餘了。
