以後我不再稱你們為僕人，因為僕人不知道主人所做的事；但我稱你們為朋友，因為我從我父所聽見的一切都已經讓你們知道了。

我實實在在地告訴你，我們所說的是我們知道的，我們所見證的是我們見過的，你們卻不領受我們的見證。

耶穌對他們說：「假如上帝是你們的父，你們會愛我，因為我本是出於上帝，也是從上帝而來，我不是憑着自己來，而是他差我來的。

因為我從天上降下來，不是要按自己的意願行，而是要遵行差我來那位的旨意。差我來那位的旨意就是：他所賜給我的，要我一個也不失落，並且在末日使他復活。因為我父的旨意是要使每一個見了子而信的人得永生，並且在末日我要使他復活。」
