以后我不再称你们为仆人，因仆人不知道主人所做的事。我乃称你们为朋友；因我从我父所听见的，已经都告诉你们了。

我实实在在地告诉你，我们所说的是我们知道的；我们所见证的是我们见过的；你们却不领受我们的见证。

耶稣说：“倘若神是你们的父，你们就必爱我；因为我本是出于神，也是从神而来，并不是由着自己来，乃是他差我来。

因为我从天上降下来，不是要按自己的意思行，乃是要按那差我来者的意思行。差我来者的意思就是：他所赐给我的，叫我一个也不失落，在末日却叫他复活。因为我父的意思是叫一切见子而信的人得永生，并且在末日我要叫他复活。”

他将所见所闻的见证出来，只是没有人领受他的见证。

耶稣基督的启示，就是神赐给他，叫他将必要快成的事指示他的众仆人。他就差遣使者晓谕他的仆人约翰。
