我要從他們的兄弟中間，給他們興起一位先知，像你一樣；我要把我的話放在他口裡，他必把我吩咐他們的一切話都對他們說。

但這些事是要使世人知道我愛父，並且知道父怎樣吩咐了我，我就怎樣作。起來，我們走吧！”

我不再稱你們為僕人，因為僕人不知道主人所作的事；我已經稱你們為朋友了，因為我從我父那裡聽見的一切，都已經告訴你們了。

我實實在在告訴你，我們知道的，才講論；見過的，就作證，然而你們卻不接受我們的見證。

耶穌說：“如果神是你們的父，你們就必愛我，因為我是從神那裡來的；我已經來到這裡。我不是憑著自己來的，而是神差了我來。

因為我從天上降下來，不是要行自己的意思，而是要行那差我來者的旨意。那差我來者的旨意就是：他所賜給我的人，我連一個也不失落，並且在末日我要使他們復活。因為我父的旨意，是要使所有看見了子而信的人有永生，並且在末日我要使他們復活。”

他把所見所聞的見證出來，可是沒有人接受他的見證。

耶穌基督的啓示，就是神賜給他，叫他把快要發生的事指示他的眾僕人。他就差派天使顯示給他的僕人約翰。
