「基督耶穌降世，為要拯救罪人。」這話是可信的，是十分可佩服的。在罪人中我是個罪魁。然而，我蒙了憐憫，是因耶穌基督要在我這罪魁身上顯明他一切的忍耐，給後來信他得永生的人作榜樣。

人子來，為要尋找、拯救失喪的人。」

你們是以外貌判斷人，我卻不判斷人。就是判斷人，我的判斷也是真的；因為不是我獨自在這裏，還有差我來的父與我同在。

不要想我在父面前要告你們；有一位告你們的，就是你們所仰賴的摩西。

我有許多事講論你們，判斷你們；但那差我來的是真的，我在他那裏所聽見的，我就傳給世人。」

「你們要小心，不可輕看這小子裏的一個；我告訴你們，他們的使者在天上，常見我天父的面。

並且要以我主長久忍耐為得救的因由，就如我們所親愛的兄弟保羅，照着所賜給他的智慧寫了信給你們。

人子來不是要滅人的性命，是要救人的性命。」說着就往別的村莊去了。
