「基督耶穌來到這世界，為要拯救罪人。」這話是信實的，值得完全接受。在罪人中我是首惡，但我之所以蒙了憐憫，是因為基督耶穌要在我這首惡身上顯出他一切的耐心，為那些將要信靠他而進入永恆生命的人做榜樣。

要知道，人子來，是為了尋找並拯救迷失的人。」

你們是按人的標準來評斷，我卻不評斷任何人。不過，就算我評斷，我的評斷也是真實的，因為我不是獨自一人，而是有那派我來的父與我同在。

不要以為我將要在父面前控告你們，有一位控告你們的，就是你們所仰賴的摩西。

關於你們，我有很多事要說、要評斷；不過派我來的那一位是真實的，我從他那裡聽了這些事，就向世人說出來。」

「你們要注意，不可輕視這些卑微人中的一個。我告訴你們：他們的天使在天上常常看見我天父的面。

並且你們要把我們主的耐心看做救恩，就像我們親愛的弟兄保羅，照著所賜他的智慧寫給你們的那樣。

於是他們往別的村子去了。
