Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;

感於上帝之神、有可徵焉、如言耶穌基督成人身而誕降者、則由上帝出矣、

猶太人就馬利亞者、見耶穌所為、多信之、

蓋猶太人多信從耶穌、為拉撒路故也、○

眾曰、爾生而有罪、反教我乎、遂逐之、

有司與𠵽唎㘔人、有信之者乎、但此眾不識律、可詛也、中有尼哥底母、曾夜就耶穌者、謂𠵽唎㘔人曰、未聽訟、不識其所為、我律豈罪之、

為人子、而人憎爾、絕爾、詬爾、惡爾名、如惡惡臭、即福矣、

畏耶和華命者、當聽我言、爾兄弟憾爾、緣我名而棄爾、自以此為尊敬予、我必顯現、使爾欣喜、使敵愧怍。

使徒離會所、皆喜、以為耶穌名而受辱、實榮我焉、

凡我良朋、勿異爾所歷之煉試、以為非常、當喜共基督受苦、則基督顯榮時、爾歡欣鼓舞可知也、爾為基督名見詬、則有福矣、煥乎上帝之神牖爾衷、人謗讟基督、而爾稱讚之、爾勿兇暴姦宄、行惡滋事、以逢譴責、然宗基督而受害、初無愧怍、又當歸榮上帝、
